The Economic Impact of a European Digital Single Market

In this report we assess the economic impact of a Digital Single Market (DSM) in Europe. Our conclusion is that the EU risks falling behind if the barriers to a Digital Single Market are not tackled. Global competitors, such as the U.S., Japan and S. Korea are expanding the digitalisation of their economies and increasing productivity and innovation is expected to follow. If Europe does not keep up, we risk missing out on a major boost to competitiveness.
