Senior Economist for Policy team

Location: Copenhagen
Application deadline: 30/08-2021

Do you want to work with high-profile public and private clients analysing and advising them on policy and regulation in one of Europe’s largest and most capable groups of economists?

We are looking for a Senior Economist with a few years of relevant work experience who has an interest in policy-related topics to join us at our Copenhagen office. The starting date is sooner rather than later.

What do we offer you?

You will be working with high profile projects ranging from climate- and energy policies, climate regulation, healthcare and life sciences, to financial regulation and sustainable business models. We do not only help governments and private sector stakeholders develop policies in these areas, but we also provide commercial support when firms in these industries are making key investment decisions.

We will develop you as a professional economist – through formal training, teamwork, and qualified discussions with experienced consultants. Your people manager will provide competent feedback and support to help you grow your competencies, advance according to our career path, and eventually develop into a fully-fledged consultant. You will join a young team where we take great pride in both delivering outstanding work and having fun in and outside of the office.

Who are you?

  • You have attained a master’s degree or PhD in economics from a reputable university. You were one of the best economists in your class – not to brag, of course.
  • Economist with 4-8 years of experience, preferably with some hard-core skills (econometrics, economic modelling). Experience in Stata and R is an advantage.
  • Focus on climate and/or energy sector issues such as power market understanding, climate policy instruments will be highly appreciated.
  • You are the type who can’t help but seek out and take ownership of tasks, and you make sure they are followed through. Sometimes you even remind colleagues to do so as well.
  • You would rather be thrown into the deep end than stay dry on land.
  • Your English is flawless, both in writing and verbally. Knowledge of a Nordic language is an advantage.

How to apply?

If this sounds like you, then please send us your motivated letter, CV, academic transcripts, and other relevant material no later than 30th August 2021. In your motivated letter, please elaborate on why you would like to work with us and why you believe you would make a good fit for the role and our team. We always prefer hearing concrete examples. If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact Talent Acquisition Specialist Eleanna Psomiadou. We can’t wait to hear from you!
