Communications and Marketing Consultant

Location: Copenhagen
Application deadline: 30/07-2021

We are looking for a Communications and Marketing Consultant to join our Copenhagen office in the Fall of 2021.

At Copenhagen Economics we provide Hard Facts and Clear Stories to enable our clients to make better choices in their political and commercial realities. We succeed because we are a cooperative team drawn from the best economists in Europe. A pillar of our success is the level of service which we provide to both public and private clients in the delivery of compelling, pragmatic economics solutions. We have extensive hands-on experience working with theoretical and quantitative economic analyses which we tailor to the needs and the business models of our clients.

The Business Support Team (BST), of which you will be a part, comprises approximately 15 people working with HR, Communications, Finance and Office Management. Tasked with delivering high-quality strategic support right across the company, the BST are spread out across our four locations and collaborate actively to maximise our resources and find more streamlined ways of working.

At Copenhagen Economics, teamwork is a fundamental part of how we operate. While this role is based in our Copenhagen office, you will work closely with colleagues across our offices in Brussels, Helsinki and Stockholm on a broad variety of projects. A vibrant and openminded workplace, over 18 different nationalities work at CE, and you will be part of the team tasked with bringing their work to the world via SoMe, print, videos and other innovative means. Taking on an exciting and challenging position in this international, flexible, friendly and fast-paced environment, you will assume extensive responsibilities from the outset and get the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.

You possess personal drive, a perceptive business sense, and integrity. You will be involved in project work which includes supporting you colleagues with visual, design and lay-out input in PPT, Word, Adobe and other platforms, either independently or together with an external graphic designer. Working with the Head of Communications, you will maintain and update your colleagues’ work in PPT and Word templates to reflect CE’s brand guidelines and be responsible for quality control in terms of style, language and layout. A high standard of English is required to ensure you can provide assistance on proof reading.

  • External communication: an ability to co-create content and visuals with CE’s consultants for LinkedIn posts, CE’s webpage and Instagram in adherence to CE’s branding guidelines and communicating to third-party providers of communications services.
  • Internal communication, including the maintenance and updating of the intranet, coordination of the internal Newsletter and responding to and addressing queries from colleagues on behalf of the Communications team.
  • Events: coordination and execution on webinars and seminars, both virtual and (in the future) physical in close cooperation with consultants and BST.
  • Execution of employer branding initiatives.

In addition, we expect you to have:

  • 3 years of experience following graduation from University or Business school (Marketing or Communications).
  • Excellent communication skills, including a high proficiency in English (working knowledge of other languages is an advantage).
  • MS Office super user (PPT, Word, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Good understanding of visual communications and design.

Experience with:

  • SoMe marketing (LinkedIn and Instagram).
  • SEO.
  • Website and intranet CMS.
  • Mailchimp.
  • Some experience within project management.

Personal characteristics:

  • Hands-on with a can-do attitude!
  • Very detail and process orientated.
  • Service minded and sociable.
  • Flair for visual communication.
  • A natural curiosity to learn about a variety of industries and open to working on different types of projects.
