03-06-2009 - Winner of the 2009 Management Award within “Analyses and Economics”
Copenhagen Economics has been awarded the 2009 Management Award in the category of “Analyses and Economics”. The winning project is the “The cost of Post Danmark's universal service obligation”, commissioned by The Danish Chamber of Commerce, Dansk Erhverv. The prize is awarded by the Danish Management Council (Dansk Management Råd).
The awarding committee makes the following remarks on their decision:
“Copenhagen Economics has provided a revolutionary analysis of Post Danmark’s universal service obligation. The professional level has drawn international attention and is of high value to the client in the debate on liberalisation of the postal market.
Throughout the study, Copenhagen Economics carried out advanced research by developing advanced techniques which calculate the cost of the universal service obligation by assembling and analyzing international experiences. Such high professional achievement has been acknowledged internationally, and the calculations techniques have since been applied by the European Commission and in the US.
The consultants have demonstrated excellent analytical skills in a highly complex area and receive top marks in project management. Moreover, they have communicated their findings in a straightforward way, qualifying the debate on liberalisation of the postal market.”
